Behind the scenes!
From the lives of our stuffed animals in times of COVID-19 – Part 3
How the Sindibaba stuffed animals stay fit with sports exercises in times of Corona
All public facilities, leisure parks and sports halls have been closed for five weeks now.
After some initial cabin fever and frustration at being cooped up, our stuffed animals have now come to terms with the situation.
Today is Easter, and instead of going on an Easter egg hunt as in previous years, our stuffed animals used the last beautiful day before the cold snap to do some circuit training outdoors on the terrace and with the windows open in the yoga room.
In this blog post, we would like to give you a further insight into how the Sindibaba stuffed animal zoo is keeping in shape and in good spirits despite the sports facilities being closed.
What the little zebra STRIPEY can do, the king of the animals can do with ease!
Lion LEON…
has been impressed by the growth in STRIPEY’s upper arm – although he would never admit it – and doesn’t want to be left behind.
So he has taken the set of dumbbells to the ballet room in the basement, where he hopes no one will see him, and is now trying to increase the size of his upper arm by doing bicep curls.
The DOLLY sheep…
have had a real backache from sitting around at home since the start of the quarantine, so they opted for a holistic workout on the campus board, which they climbed up and down a few times.
Meanwhile, ZEBRA STRIPEY has taken the vacated spot on KITTY’syoga mat and done a few curl-ups to strengthen his neglected biceps.
FELIX the tomcat…
still hasn’t had enough after his climbing and pole dancing exercises in the garden and has gone up to the yoga room to flatten himself out.
There, he took a seat on KITTY’svacated yoga mat to do a few planking exercises to strengthen his abdominal muscles – which apparently isn’t working so well yet.
To do this correctly, he should lift his knees off the floor.
But the way he exerted himself today, you can see why.
Doll DERA…
is not a big fan of exercises with heavy weights, as she fears that this could make her arms and shoulders too thick and muscular.
She prefers stretching and has gone to the ballet room in the basement.
When LEON the lion notices her there, he scurries off, as he doesn’t like to be seen bodybuilding.
The king of the animals is naturally packed with muscles and doesn’t need any coaching.
DERA now has the whole room to himself.
DERA has barely started her exercises when the door opens and…
Bunny BIBI…
joins her.
She watches with fascination as DERA performs her stretching exercises with flexibility and agility.
BIBI tries to imitate her and it turns out that she is also very flexible.
However, it doesn’t look as graceful as DERA’s yet.
As soon as the two DOLLYs had finished their exercises on the campus board, the…
Tiger TONI…
takes the space on the fitness tower for himself and does a few pull-ups on the pull-up bar.
The combination of several handles is ideal for him to try out different grip variations and train different areas of his shoulders, back and arms.
However, it wasn’t enough for a muscle-up yet.
But with a little practice, a fit Tiger like him should be able to do it.
Perhaps you’ve been inspired by this and will incorporate some of these exercises into your home sports program.
Incidentally, our cute crocheted animals are always on the lookout for new friends and playmates who will love them and take them to their hearts.
If your little ones are not yet old enough for such exercises but are longing for a playmate to discover, grasp, cuddle and play with for the first time, then take a look at the Sindibaba store. To the Sindibaba Shop Part 1 of this article
